1. Put Yourself Out There

How can you expect prospects to rent your commercial space if they don’t know its on the market?!

In this day and age, it’s not enough to rely on word of mouth. Instead, you need to get a marketing strategy together and commit to refining your techniques to get the best results.

Most potential tenants are scouring the web, so you need an online presence. There’s a good chance you’re target audience is hanging out in the following places:

  • CoStar
  • LoopNet
  • Craigslist

So, make sure you’ve got listings on all these platforms!

Not to mention, they’re probably also conducting generic Google searches for office space- so ensure you’ve SEO-optimized your website for common search terms.

2. Tell a Compelling Story

On the face of it, commercial office space sounds pretty dry, right? Wrong!

Every property boasts a set of unique set of features that set them apart from the crowd. All you have to do is spend a little time and effort determining what makes your space better than the rest.

Write down all the benefits you have to offer, then weave them into your description. This skill is honestly way more natural to master than it sounds.

It takes more than a generic description and a few photos to sell a space- especially if you’re in a more competitive location. Therefore, crafting copy that captures peoples emotions is essential.

When you engage with prospects on an emotional level, you’re way more likely to secure the sale.

Love it or hate it, you really can’t avoid social media. If you haven’t already, consider setting up profiles on all the following platforms:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • YouTube
  • LinkedIn

Those are the main four you want to focus on. Once you’re up and running, get active! Advertise your commercial space here by telling your audience there’s an opening.

4. Don’t Be Afraid to Use Video

If a picture’s worth a thousand words, what does a video equate to?

We’re not sure, but you understand the point we’re making. A high-quality video that walks prospects through the commercial space is worth its weight in gold. It enables potential tenants to envision themselves working in the area you’re advertising.
